Kim Sarver
Senior Research Project Manager
Kim Sarver, PMP, MSEE is Polis’ Senior Research Project Manager. Her responsibilities include the coordination of cross-functional teams and resources for multiple Polis projects with the nonprofit, government, academic, and healthcare sectors.
A professional project manager, Sarver’s background includes certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and training in agile project management methodologies. Her expertise comprises software development, product lifecycle, process improvement, collaborations/partnerships, and new program development.
She is currently participating in a nine-month leadership succession development program, IUPUI NextGen 2.0, which prepares women and underrepresented faculty and staff for positions of administrative leadership and opportunities for advancement in higher education.
Prior to joining The Polis Center at IUPUI, Sarver served as project consultant and lab manager with the Crossroads of America Council and as a senior project engineer with GM Powertrain in Indianapolis. She also worked with Chrysler and Ford Motor Company in Michigan. Sarver holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee State University in Nashville. She has served on the Volunteer Committee for Women & Hi-Tech, initiated the pilot program for STEM Scouts (2015-2017) and is a member of the Alumni Chapters of Arlington High School and Tennessee State University, and PMI-Central Indiana.
