The Polis Center at IUPUI invites you to learn more about an academic exchange opportunity with Queen’s University in Northern Ireland (QUB) from Dr. Paul S. Ell, Director of the Centre for Data Digitisation and Analysis, School of Geography, Archaeology and Palaeoecology, Queen’s University Belfast.

The presentation for students and faculty will take place Thursday, April 28, from 12:30-1:30 in CA537.

Founded in 1999, the Centre for Data Digitisation and Analysis (CDDA) is one the leading digital humanities units within the UK and Ireland, consistently initiating connections between information technologies and humanities research. The Centre has established, practical, and rewarding Memorandums of Understanding with key international universities including IUPUI and UC Berkeley.  The Polis Center at IUPUI has participated in the exchange program since 2006.

Dr. Ell is an active member of the University of California at Berkeley-based International Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative, the Association of American Geographers, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and a member of the Historical Geography Network within the US Social Science History Association.
