David Bodenhamer is giving the keynote address at the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS) annual meeting in Washington, D.C. on June 11.  The symposium will include research presentations, lightning talks, and a poster session, as well as discussion opportunities aimed at building collaboration and paths for knowledge exchange. This is a prestigious event for which UCGIS invites geographers, humanists, GIScientists, data scientists and others active in the geospatial humanities to make presentations that highlight synergies between the humanities and the geospatial sciences.

On June 17, Bodenhamer will lead an expert workshop on how to develop and sustain university research centers at University of Bristol (UK).
