For ten years, the Polis Center at IUPUI and Spirit & Place have collaborated with WFYI on a series of Spirit & Place essays that reveal the theme through a variety of voices. This year’s essayists include: Ken Barger, Emeritus Professor of Anthropology, IUPUI; Elizabeth Friedland, Director of Communications, Appirio; James Madison, Emeritus Professor of History at Indiana University; Lindsey Mintz, Executive Director, Jewish Community Relations Council; Carla Sallee, spoken-word artist; and Jim Walker, CEO of Big Car Collaborative. Hear them here and on WFYI’s “Weekend Edition” through November 6.
